Masti, Full time masti.. .

Following were the initial plans.. but dont go by this plan.. as Murphy never leaves u....So we will analyse later if the statement "Anything that can go wrong will go wrong." is still valid... lets check what we originally decided.. At a later stage, I will update with, what we actually did.... (apart from roaming around Kerala..)

..Let me put a point here. Manja, made these plans and I am just quoting him. Dont ask me (or any of the other team members) any questions like **how was andmudi hill?** reading these intial plans, 'coz what was planned never happened... :-)

  • Day 1 :

We were assuming to reach thekkady around 8am in the morning and to do the followings...

    1. V'll visit Idukky dam (around 1.5 hours journey from Thekkady, Asia's first arc dam). Will be back to Thekkady by afternoon.

    2. V'll ride on bicycles to Periyar lake's boating point. Periyar lake is around 5km from Thekkady. Those who dont know bicycling or can't do pillion riding can take our vehicle (Swaraz Mazda).
    5. V'll take the last boating trip (5pm) in Periyar lake. This goes on for about 1.5 hours! Will head back to our rooms and have a bonfire and singing with yours truly giving pathetic guitar rhythm support.
    Night's stay is in Thekkady.

  • Day 2 :

    1. Trekking, I believe, brings souls and the Mother Nature together. A trip without trek is like a marriage without honeymoon (bad analogy but i guess i made some point). Anamudi is the highest peak in Kerala and offers breathtaking views. Whole of Saturday is dedicated to her. Anti-trekkers please not you worry as it's more of hiking than trekking. Thought of arranging camping at the peak but as it's being the coldest time of the year, camping is not recommended unless you agree to take a bucket of beer with you and keep sipping it once in a while all of the night which, I'm sure, most of us including me would oppose to.

    2. If time permits, v'll visit Rajamala peak which is quite nearby Anamudi.

Night's stay in Munnar (note that we check out our rooms in Thekkady Saturday morning and check back in in Munnar in the evening when we are back from the trek).

  • Day 3 :

No trekking jus sight-seeing. [PS : Site seeeing, we actually did site seeing during the whole journey. Sitting in the bus,(or jail whatever u call it) and seeing the kerala... GOD's OWN country

    Will be visiting 3 places.

    1. Echo Point

    2. Kundala - There is a dam here (The Setuparvathy dam). They have pedal boating in the reservoir.

    3. Top Station - one of the peaks in Kerala. They say you can even see Arabian sea on a clear day!

Get back to Munnar by evening, check out, dine out and get back to Bangalore (will reach Bangalore by Monday early morning).
